Yuexin Han is the professor and PhD supervisor in Mineral Processing and dean of College of Resources and Civil Engineering, Northeastern University. He is also working as a deputy head of Mineral Processing Institute in both the Chinese Society for Metals and China Mining Association, and Shenyang CPPCC member.
His main research areas include effective development and utilization of refractory mineral resources, preparation of Mineral materials. He creatively proposed technologies of “Preconcentration-Suspension Roasting-Magnetic Separation” and “Coal-based Reduction Followed by Magnetic Separation” to utilize the complex refractory iron ores. The preparations of Calcium Sulfate Whisker and Nano Calcium Carbonate developed by Prof. Han have been put into industrial production.
He has engaged in 3 projects of the National Natural Science Foundation of China, 2 projects of the National Basic Research Program (973 Program), 2 projects of the National High-tech R&D Program of China (863 Program), 2 projects of the National Key Technologies R&D Program of China, and more than 100 latitudinal projects. He is now undertaking 6 projects supported by the National Natural Science Foundation of China, National Science-technology Support Plan Projects, and International S&T Cooperation Program of China.
Prof. Han has authored or coauthored more than 300 international research papers, published 4 academic books and 1 textbook, held 6 patents for invention, and acquired 6 provincial science and technology awards.
